Log Line:
A young man feels weak and disconnected from the world. He turns his isolation into rage and grows into something more powerful than he could ever imagine.

This video is an interpretation of Marilyn Manson's "Story of Adam" which is told over his albums Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, and Holy Wood respectively. I worked on this video for the better part of two years. The intent of this video was to challenge people's views of what a music video is and what it could be. I wanted to create something larger than life, something that could grab a jaded audience by the balls. But most importantly, I wanted to see the end product.

As for the actual product itself, the story is split up into 3 cycles with each cycle having 3 parts for a total of 9 short videos. I wanted to take the audience on a journey of ups and downs that would eventually spiral out of control into a climax.

Please try to watch it on its own terms and have as little expectation as possible. Don't feel urged to figure it all out, and don't feel like you need to form an opinion after you see it. There is a lot of meat here so please give it a chance. This isn't an anime music video as you've come to expect them. Brian Warner, if you happen to see this, I want to work with you.

Hello there, guys! First of all, THANK YOU. I've just reached 20,000 subscribers. I don't really know what to say, I hope this video will be better "thanks" than my cheesiness. Okay then...

So this video is the point of view of people caring about Naru. This whole story is based on him, he is the bad-ass now, but he was partly "created" by people loving him and caring about him. He sure deserves that. This video has another meaning though (apart from the story). It's a reminder to everyone not to give up. I am not sure about you, people, but I am really shocked by the increasing number of people (especially in our age) committing a suicide or thinking about it... I wish it changed. There are more people than you think who deeply care about you and love you and would totally miss you.
And this is indeed connected to our main character. He never gives up (despite people hating him, despite the fact he had no parents and didn't know why he was all alone) and it's now also because of others who eventually gave him the hope and the spirit. Starting with Iruka, through all characters I showed here and more. This is what I have always liked about this show -- it gives hope to people. While making this video, I got stuck with the episodes where Jiraya with Naru go find Tsunade and you have this whole Orochimaru/Kabuto vs. them fight... doesn't matter which episodes you randomly pick, you are always touched and filled with some positive feeling. I hope I managed to picture this 'feeling' with my video.
I hope you'll like it. I really tried to do my best and I think this might be the most meaningful AMV I have ever made.
